The following milk_shake® direct colors have been used to tone the hair:

FORMULA 1

milk_shake® direct color pink 25g eggplant 8g lilac 5g

FORMULA 2

milk_shake® direct color pink 25g eggplant 8g lilac 5g clear 25g

FORMULA 3

milk_shake® direct color clear 20g silver 5g

 

STEP 1: Divide the hair into five sections: the internal section, the left side section, right side section, crown area and the nape of the neck. 

STEP 2: Prepare the color formulas with milk_shake® smoothies conditioning semi-permanent color. First Pink shade: 40g pearl and 1g 6.66. Second, more intense Pink: 40g pearl, 3g 6.66. For the Pearl Blonde: 40g pearl. All mixed with activating emulsion.

STEP 3: Starting in the nape of the neck, secure a transparent color stripe, and color the first subsection, from roots to ends with Intense Pink. Continue in the same manner throughout the entire back section.

STEP 4: Color the entire right side, from roots to ends with Intense Pink. 

STEP 5: Spray milk_shake® color specifics pro color equalizer onto the hair. Prior to this technique Martina’s hair was lightened with a zig-zag “balayage” technique, utilizing ligh[10] blue mixed with 20vol. (6%0 oxidizing emulsion throughout the entire hair.

STEP 6: Continue coloring the entire left side section with the same technique and formula. Isolate with a transparent color stripe. 

STEP 7: Color the internal back section in the same way, utilizing Pastel Pink. Isolate with a transparent color stripe. 

STEP 8: On the internal section, separate the first subsection with a zig-zag, and color, from roots to ends, with Pearly Blonde. Place a transparent color stripe between each subsection.

STEP 9: Separate the second subsection with a zig-zag parting and color with Intense Pink.

STEP 10: Continue in the same manner with the third subsection and color with Pearl Blonde. 

STEP 11: Color the fourth subsection with Pastel Pink and the fifth with Pearl Blonde. 

STEP 12: Conclude with the last subsection, coloring with Intense Pink. This type of alternating technique, utilizing three different color enhance the three-dimensionality of the shape, giving softness and movement to the hair.
